Experimental Projects
As part of my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Arts at the University of Malta, I explored animation through a series of experimental videos and projects. This selection showcases my creative approach, technical skills, and the playful experimentation that has shaped my development as an animation student.
This project was a collaborative university assignment at the University of Malta. My key contributions included storyboarding, puppet rigging, stop motion animation, sound design, and co-direction. The video was created to promote items sold at the MUŻA art museum by showcasing how they can be integrated into everyday life through a creative stop motion narrative.
This project was a collaborative assignment for a small local theatre as part of a university course. My main responsibilities included puppet design and rigging, stop motion animation, sound design as well as directing and filming.
This was an experimental solo project created for university using Blender for 3D animation. I was responsible for all stages of production, including character design, storyboarding, video editing, and sound design.
This was an experimental 3D animation project at the University of Malta, where I created an animated logo using Blender.
This university project involved integrating a 3D helicopter into live-action footage using Blender and Adobe After Effects. I handled the full production, including 3D modeling and animation, video footage capture, 3D tracking, and sound design. While the helicopter’s landing isn’t realistic, this was due to time constraints and the task’s focus, which didn’t require mimicking a real landing.
